MISC. SERVICES :

The distribution of milk is managed by Milk Production & Distribution Committee by issuing Milk Distribution Cards to the people. There are 2 Distribution Points which distribute milk in the morning & evening. The Milk Coupons are sold at a Counter located in the main market for the convenience of the public who can purchase these coupons by showing their Milk Cards on a monthly basis on payment.

Free service for the treatment of street cows and free services of Bulls for reproduction of cow population are also provided by Shree Gauhati Gaushala.

Shree Gauhati Gaushala produces abundant quantity of green grass which is fed to the cows. Lots of fruits, vegetables & flowers are grown at Athgaon and Maligaon Compound of Shree Gauhati Gaushala.

2 Hanuman Temples and 2 Shiv Temples are maintained by Shree Gauhati Gaushala with the help of a Priest on its pay-roll.

Walkers throng Shree Gauhati Gaushala both in the morning & evening to enjoy walking on the lush green grass fields.

A Water Cooler has been installed with an AquaGuard for the convenience of the public visiting Shree Gauhati Gaushala at Athgaon.

BY PRODUCTS :

I) Shree Gauhati Gaushala is producing Vermi Compost (Kechua Khad) and G.N.P. (Gomutra Kitnashak), Vermi Wash and Amrit Jal for promotion of organic farming. The fresh Gomutra provided by Gaushala is very popular among the people and understand that it helps to get rid of all the problem of the human body. A well qualified person is appointed to look after these projects. Free Training and Education are also imparted to the Farmers and Agriculturist to promote production of Vermi Compost and G.N.P. at their own fields.

PRESENT COW POPULATION :

Shree Gauhati Gaushala has 1373 cows at present and the milk production, which varies from time to time, is 1280 Ltrs at present. The break-up of 1373 cows are given below :

DAILY ROUTINE AT COW-SHEDS :

The bathing and free movement of cows in the open area take place every day. The cow sheds are washed and cleaned properly every day and are equipped with the required number of fans.

In the winter season, the cows and bulls are given a special diet to improve their health.

Healthy & Nutritious food is provided to all the entire cow population at par.

FACILITIES & INFRASTRUCTURE :

I) Shree Gauhati Gaushala has its two Truck, Tractor, Power Tiller, 4 Grass/ Khed Cutting Machines etc. and is equipped with several Water Pumps and 3 Generating Sets with a capacity of 70 k.w. to meet its requirement.

II) A well equipped Veterinary Hospital is located at Athgaon which is looked after by a Veterinary Doctor and three Assistants round the clock at Guwahati Main Office.

III) The Accounts and Data are prepared & maintained in computers by a trained person.

IV) Vermi Compost and G.N.P. produced are distributed at subsidised rates.
